A Better View For You is a Better You for Us

This week’s patch focuses on streamers and improving RatsBoomBot’s design while keeping the features and functionality you love. The new channel dashboard brings a familiar live view, with more of the tools you use during a stream in one place.

Dashboard Changes

The channel dashboard now includes a Twitch stream preview, live status, and the ability to edit your stream title and category. You can reply to Twitch messages, use an emote picker, pin or delete messages, and review moderator actions and held AutoMod messages.

Ads and the viewer queue have their own controls. You can run or snooze ads, open or close the queue, choose how many viewers to take next, and manage a queue blacklist. Protected users can also be managed from channel settings.

Combined Chat and OBS Alternatives

Connect your YouTube channel to see its live chat alongside Twitch and send messages to Twitch, YouTube, or both from the dashboard.

For OBS, you can copy a browser source URL for Chat, Commands, or Both. You can also show or hide commands in the combined dashboard feed without turning the commands themselves off.

Channel Quotes

Save stream moments with !quote add <message>. Chatters can use !quote for a random quote or !quote <number> to find a specific one. Broadcasters and mods can remove a quote with !quote remove <number>.

More League Commands

Use !build <champion> and !runes <champion> for build and rune recommendations. Registered players can use !duo to find potential ranked partners currently in chat.

Broadcasters and mods can use !custom lobby to split queued viewers into teams, or !custom lobby balance to balance teams using registered ranks.

Gamble Win Rates

Chatter profiles now show gamble win rate, wins, and losses for the current channel and across channels. Results begin from when gamble outcome tracking was added.

[ADJUSTMENTS]

  • The dashboard has been reorganized to make chat, stream activity, ads, and the viewer queue easier to use together.
  • Check-ins and channel point redeems now appear together in one activity feed, ordered by when they happened. Moderation actions and held AutoMod messages remain available in their own views.
  • Dashboard chat shows the newest messages first. If you scroll back through earlier messages, a Jump to present button takes you back to the latest activity without losing your place as new messages arrive.
  • Navigation works better on smaller screens, with a more comfortable layout at medium widths and swipe navigation on mobile.
  • You can hold and drag to reorder the viewer queue on desktop or mobile. The viewers selected to go next stay highlighted, and the queue count is easier to see.
  • Viewers entering or leaving the queue now move smoothly into or out of the list. Moving someone to the top or bottom also has a clearer animation.
  • Command help is more consistent, and !gamble now guides viewers toward the grouped gamble commands.
  • Raid item commands better recognize alternate item names and copied text.

[BUGS AND FIXES]

  • Removing a quote now shifts later quotes down, so quote numbers stay consecutive.
  • The viewer queue checks for changes before taking the next viewers, helping prevent an outdated selection from being used.
  • Fixed interactions between mobile dashboard swipes and viewer queue controls.
  • Improved scrolling in dashboard activity, moderation, and queue panels, especially on smaller screens.
  • YouTube live chat discovery now follows the Twitch stream’s live status, reducing unnecessary checks while the stream is offline. YouTube chat also recovers more reliably from temporary interruptions, and messages reach the shared chat faster.
  • Fixed dashboard columns, sidebar overflow, and stream preview sizing at different screen sizes and zoom levels.
  • Improved chat display and live status feedback in the dashboard.

DEVELOPER NOTES

With RatsBoomBot growing so quickly, it’s been hard to keep up with the constant updates while maintaining the quality you’ve come to expect.
