Levels Loot & Loyalty

Chatter levels have arrived! This update introduces channel-specific achievements, dynamically scaling raids, progress-based raid payouts, customizable loyalty points, command slowmode, and improved community-event controls—along with a large collection of balance adjustments and fixes.

[ADDED]

Chatter Levels

Every chatter now has a global level representing their progression throughout Rat's Boom Bot.

Experience can be earned by:

  • Unlocking achievements
  • Participating in completed tutorial raids
  • Participating in completed mini-boss raids
  • Participating in completed main-boss raids

Achievement experience is based on badge tier:

  • Bronze: 100 XP
  • Silver: 250 XP
  • Gold: 500 XP
  • Platinum: 1,000 XP

Completed raids award:

  • Tutorial boss: 25 XP
  • Mini boss: 50 XP
  • Main boss: 100 XP

Existing qualifying achievements and raid participation will automatically count toward your chatter level.

Channel-Specific Achievements

New achievements can now be earned separately within individual channels.

These include achievements for:

  • Time spent watching a channel
  • Returning across multiple streams
  • Contributing bonus damage during raids
  • Crafting weapons
  • Repairing weapons
  • Collecting channel loyalty points

Channel achievements can provide loyalty-point rewards within the channel where they were earned.

Several new secret achievements have also been added. Their names and requirements will remain hidden until someone discovers them!

New activity-based achievement counters begin tracking after this update and are not retroactively backfilled.

Twitch Profile Images

Chatter profiles can now display Twitch profile images.

[ADJUSTMENTS]

Dynamic Mini-Boss Health

Mini-boss health can now scale based on the number of unique contributors who participated in the channel's previous completed raid.

As raid participation increases, the pool of possible mini-boss health values expands:

  • 0–9 contributors: 10,000 HP
  • 10–19 contributors: Up to 20,000 HP
  • 20–29 contributors: Up to 35,000 HP
  • 30–39 contributors: Up to 50,000 HP
  • 40 or more contributors: Up to 70,000 HP

This keeps raids approachable for smaller communities while providing stronger encounters for more active channels.

Raid Progress Payouts

Raid participants can now earn loyalty points based on the amount of boss health removed—even when the boss is not defeated.

Payouts are weighted by contribution ranking:

  • Top 15%: 1.50× reward weight
  • Top 30%: 1.25× reward weight
  • Top 50%: 1.10× reward weight
  • Everyone else: Standard reward weight

Defeating the boss still provides the normal completion bonuses and loot opportunities.

Main-Boss Milestones

Main bosses now announce when the community has removed:

  • 25% of the boss's health
  • 50% of the boss's health
  • 75% of the boss's health

Completed milestones are saved so they will not be announced more than once during the same raid.

Tutorial Raid Persistence

Tutorial raids will now remain active until the boss is defeated or the broadcaster manually ends the encounter.

This gives new communities as much time as they need to complete their first raid.

Clearer Raid Results

Main-boss results now use clearer public statuses:

  • Cleared when the boss was defeated
  • Concluded when the raid ended without the boss being defeated

Community Event Messages

Gifted-subscription events now produce cleaner chat responses.

Large gift bombs can use one condensed community message instead of sending a separate response for every recipient, reducing chat spam while still celebrating the event.

Expanded Channel Themes

Additional channel-specific boss, mini-boss, weapon, and encounter names have been added to supported channel themes.

[FOR STREAMERS]

Loyalty Point Customization

Broadcasters can now customize their channel's loyalty system directly from their dashboard!

Available settings include:

  • Loyalty currency name
  • Response for checking your own balance
  • Response for checking another viewer's balance
  • Response for adding points
  • Response for giving points to another viewer

The customized currency name also becomes a channel command alias.

For example, a currency named bread can be checked with !bread, while the original !points command will continue to work.

Shared Command Slowmode

Broadcasters and moderators can enable a shared command cooldown using:

  • !set slowmode on
  • !set slowmode off
  • !set slowmode to view its current status

When enabled, each viewer can use one bot command every two minutes. This cooldown is shared across commands and command aliases. Attempts made during the cooldown are ignored silently to avoid creating additional chat spam. Broadcasters, moderators, and !kamikaze are exempt from the shared cooldown.

Community Response Controls

Broadcasters can now control the following community responses independently:

  • Follow responses
  • Subscription responses
  • Resubscription responses
  • Gifted-subscription responses

This allows each channel to decide which community events Rat's Boom Bot should acknowledge in chat.

Broadcasters can also customize the condensed message used for gifted-subscription events.

[BUGS AND FIXES]

  • Fixed customized loyalty currency names not appearing correctly in default response messages.
  • Fixed saved loyalty currency names not consistently working as channel command aliases.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent Twitch profile images from being cached correctly.
  • Fixed weapon sales occasionally failing when multiple database operations occurred at the same time.
  • Fixed secret achievement rolls being counted while a stream was offline.
  • Fixed raid health milestones appearing for encounters where they were not intended.
  • Fixed gifted subscriptions producing duplicate or excessive response messages.
  • Improved the reliability of broadcaster and viewer loyalty-point commands.
